Historic Columbia River Highway First Day Hike - Jan. 1, 2018

Start off the New Year with a ranger-led hike along the majestic Columbia River and enjoy stunning views of the Columbia River Gorge along the way! Learn about the plants and animals that call the Gorge ecosystem home, as well as how this wonder of the Northwest was formed.

Meet At: Mark O. Hatfield Visitor's Center West Trailhead

Trail Name: Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail

Trail Terrain: Moderate

Length of Hike: 4 miles

Minimum Age for Children: 12 years old, unless supervised by an adult

Things to Note:  Dogs permitted on a 6-foot leash. Be prepared for icy and/or snowy trail conditions.  Pack a water bottle, extra layers, light snacks and dress appropriately for the weather. Waterproof hiking shoes are highly recommended.
