Summer Plant ID Walk

Meet at the Discovery Depot Visitor Center at 10am. Join a Park Ranger for a guided hike focused on exploring the wonderful world of summer in the pacific northwest! Learn about how plants survive the heat, and the seasonal cycle of wildflowers, and native edible species.

Pets are welcome to join but must be on a leash no longer than six feet. Children must be accompanied by a parent or gaurdian.

This hike will be approximately 1.5 miles long and will include a combination of gravel road and packed dirt trail surfaces. The terrain is uneven and includes moderate elevation gain. Sturdy hiking shoes or boots are advised, as trail conditions may vary depending on weather.  Oregon State Parks is committed to making our events accessible to everyone. If you require an accommodation or service to fully participate, please contact Park Ranger Jeremy Williams at (503) 724-8429 at least three days prior to the event.
