Fall Equinox sunset kayak tour

*COVID-19:  Your safety is very important to us.  Please check back for updates – Tours may be added or canceled due to changing COVID-19 restrictions.  At this time, we are planning to reduce the number of tours and limiting the number of visitors on our Cove Kayak Tours.  Staff and Visitors will be required to wear a face covering at all times while onshore; however may be removed while on the water.  Hand sanitizer will be available.  In compliance with CDC guidelines kayaks, paddles and floatation devices will be thoroughly sanitized after each tour. 

*Tours may also be canceled under the following conditions:  rain, snow, fog, wind >15 mph, excessive smoke from seasonal wildfires or other park emergencies.

*This park requires a day-use parking permit, which may be purchased at the park for $5. (FREE if you camp with us.) You also may purchase a 12-month or 24-month parking permit from the online Park Store. 

Description: Explore the park in a different light! This special, one time only, guided fall equinox sunset kayak tour will be the perfect way to welcome autumn this year.  Paddle with our interpretive staff and learn about moon facts, nocturnal animals and traditions around the world celebrating the coming of fall. Allow up to 3 hours for the tour, including pre-launch gear setup and post-launch check in.  Dress in warm but lightweight layers.  Bring your own snacks, drinking water, and footwear that can get wet. Kayaks, paddles and PFDs provided. You may use your own personal flotation device if you prefer, as long as it’s a Coast Guard approved type 3 or type 2 personal flotation device in good condition. Minimum age:  18, No children for this tour only.
