2019 African American Outdoor Association Camping Weekend (AAOA Group Members Only)

Honeyman State Park is a beautiful coastal park located on the Central Oregon coast, three miles south of Florence. This park offers numerous hiking trails, miles of sand dunes between the park and the ocean. Enjoy two natural freshwater lakes:  Cleawox, which is great for swimming, kayaking, and fishing; and Woahink, which has a public boat ramp and breathtaking scenery. In the fall, the huckleberries and blackberries are ripe for the picking and found throughout the campground and surrounding areas.

The African American Outdoor Association (AAOA) is having its annual Oregon State Park Campout at the group camp located approximately one mile east of 101 on Canary Road, just before the Woahink Day-use Area. This is a family-friendly, guided weekend outing for campers of all ages. We bring the camping gear so you don’t have to—or use your own!  Together, we’ll venture out on different activities. You choose what activities you want to join. This is a fun and social recreational weekend with other families. Join us to learn, eat, play, and camp together!

Note: There is a limit of 8 people per family and the $30 fee applies to the group.  In the quantity field, please enter the total number of people in your family attending the event, up to a maximum of 8.

Within a week of registering, you will receive an email requesting additional information for your family’s gear needs. We will not reserve gear for you if you do not complete this survey.

Sorry, but pets are not allowed at this group experience.

If you have questions, please contact Paul Reilly, Coastal Region Program Coordinator, at or (541) 563-8500.
