MAY 31- JUNE 2: Tumalo State Park is the location for a family-friendly, guided weekend outing for beginning campers of all ages. We bring the camping gear so you don’t have to! Our experienced volunteers provide hands-on clinics to share a variety of camping skills, from setting up your tent and camp kitchen to cooking over a campfire and using a Dutch oven. Together, we’ll venture out on the trail on a family nature hike, learning what to bring along in our backpacks for a safe hiking experience. And we’ll discover great tips to lessen our impact on the land through Leave No Trace activities.
Our agenda is determined by available opportunities at each park. You may enjoy one or more of these activites:
This is a fun and social recreational weekend with other families. Join us to learn, eat, play, do art and camp together!
