Come celebrate our Oregon State Parks with a ranger led hike to see Big Tree, the largest ponderosa pine in the world! Along the way, we’ll talk about the flora and fauna that can be found around the Deschutes River in the summer months.
This will be a 1.5 mile out and back hike with 82’ of elevation change.
When and Where: The hike will depart at 11:00am from the Cougar Woods Day-Use Area. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to the hike start time
-Additional parking will be available at the Boat Ramp Day-Use Area
Things to Note:
- Hiking boots, water, and weather appropriate clothing are necessary.
- Well behaved dogs are permitted but must be on a 6’ leash.
- The nearest restroom is available at the Boat Ramp Day-Use Area
