Kick off the season with a snowy adventure! Strap on snowshoes and explore a sparkling landscape where every step crunches and the world feels new. Wander through snow-draped trees, breathe crisp mountain air, and maybe spot animal tracks. Whether you’re a first-timer or seasoned snow stomper, this hike invites you to slow down and enjoy winter’s beauty—everything’s more magical in the snow!
No snow? No problem — we’ll swap snowshoes for boots and keep the adventure going.
This 1.5-mile route winds through conifer forest with sunny clearings, shaded groves, uneven surfaces, loose rock, and exposed roots. Snow conditions vary; expect a moderate hike with some elevation gain. The path may be unpredictable and not accessible for some visitors. Contact the park or Ranger Jessica at 541.792.0101 with questions; alternative options may be available.
Bring: water, snacks, wind/waterproof layers, snowshoes if you have them (limited pairs with registration), binoculars, and a camera. No snowshoes? Don’t worry! Reserve one of our twelve (12) pairs and join the fun—up to 20 participants are welcome on this adventure.
No pets, please—to protect winter wildlife and maintain a quiet experience.
Don’t be fashionably late! Staff arrive 30 minutes early and stay 5 minutes after start time to brief you—then the wagon heads out waiting for no one.
