Nature Photography for Beginners

L.L. Stub Stewart State Park

Join a Park Ranger and learn about the basics of nature photography! L.L. Stub Stewart State Park offers panoramic views, diverse plant life, and plenty of opportunities to see animals such as black tailed deer and song birds. This event is targeted at beginners who are curious to learn more about how to elevate their photography skills and will cover the basics of composition, perspective, and how to get the best shots. Participants can bring a camera or even use their cellphone cameras!

Meet at the Welcome Center at 11am

Pets are welcome to join but must be on a leash no longer than six feet. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This event will involve walking approximately 1 mile including a combination of packed trails and forest undergrowth. The terrain is uneven and may include moderate elevation gain. Sturdy hiking shoes or boots are advised, as trail conditions may vary depending on weather.  Oregon State Parks is committed to making our events accessible to everyone.
