Colors in Winter, a Native Plants Walk - First Day Hike 2025

Winter in the valley is often described as dark, dull, and devoid of color. This is not true! Join this guided walk in the woods and discover colors of winter that native plants provide and what makes them special.  

The hike will be 1 mile long, with slight incline, and may have standing water in some places. Plan to bring warm clothes, walking or hiking shoes, rain clothes depending on weather, and water / snacks as needed! The trail is not wheelchair friendly. Please no dogs on this hike.

Staff will be there prior to the event, cell service can be spotty, vault restrooms located on site, We will wait 5-10 minutes after the start time for any late folks, 2 rangers will be present.
