Celebrate the New Year with Oregon State Parks and a park staff guided First Day Hike through open meadows and fields, cottonwood and conifer forests, and along Lost Creek and the Middle Fork Willamette River. It’s a peaceful way to enter the New Year. We’ll watch for birds, beaver, deer, and possibly even elk!
When: 10 am – 12:30 pm 1/1/2025
Where: Main parking lot at end of park road within Elijah Bristow State Park near restroom building. Park address: 38263 Wheeler Rd Dexter, OR 97431
Trail Length/Difficulty: Approximately 3 mile loop along Middle Fork Willamette River and Channel Lake. Relatively flat, easy hike on compacted gravel trail.
Accessibility Considerations: Trail is compacted gravel but there may be soft, muddy areas during this time of year. Alternative options are available.
Bring warm clothing like gloves, hat, and jacket; boots as trail may be muddy; and drinking water.
Please leave dogs at home.
