Meet at the Discovery Depot Visitor Center at 3pm. Join a Park Ranger for a guided hike focused on our fungal friends: mushrooms and lichens.  Learn about wild edible species, dangerous species, and how fungal relationships with plants allow forests to thrive and grow!

Pets are welcome to join but must be on a leash no longer than six feet. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This hike will be approximately 1-2 miles long and will include a combination of gravel road and packed dirt trail surfaces. The terrain is uneven and includes moderate elevation gain. Sturdy hiking shoes or boots are advised, as trail conditions may vary depending on weather.  Oregon State Parks is committed to making our events accessible to everyone.
