The Deschutes River Horse Trail is a 22-mile round trip former railbed trail, open sunrise to sunset. It’s limited to 10 horses per day, so advanced reservations are required. The trail starts at the Deschutes River State Recreation Area campground entrance parking lot, & ends at Harris Ranch. Take a ranger-led hike on the historic Deschutes River Trail through the Deschutes River Canyon. The hike will start on the Descutes River Trail and continue down onto the Blackberry Trail where you will be able to walk along the rivers edge to view the area’s natural flora and fauna.
