Kayak Interpretive Tour - Prineville Reservoir Day Use

Prineville Reservoir State Park

Explore Prineville Reservoir from the water on a guided kayak tour with our interpretive staff. Paddle past dramatic cliffs and rolling hills while learning about local geology, High Desert wildlife, area history, and the water cycle.

Kayak, paddle, and life jacket provided (participants must use park gear).
Allow up to 3 hours total, including gear setup and check-in.

Ages 8 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Children ages 8–11 ride with an adult in a tandem kayak.
Ages 12–17 may paddle a single kayak.
Animals are not allowed.

Location: Prineville Reservoir State Park, near the Observatory.

What to Wear: Dress in layers and expect to get a little wet. Avoid cotton and heavy footwear. Bring extra clothes, shoes, and a towel.

Cancellations: Full refund if canceled online before noon the day prior. Weather-related park cancellations (Extreme wind, lightning, high AQI, etc..) will receive an email and a full refund will be issued.
